TAI CHI-Free Community Class

Tai Chi is a series of slow, graceful martial arts movements, called a form, which is continuously flowing, always the same, gradually gaining in complexity, taking 15 – 20 minutes to complete. Students learn by following with the assistance of verbal cues. Accessible to a wide range of physical ability, Tai chi promotes strong body awareness, strengthening balance, coordination, concentration, healthy breathing, posture, core strength and flexibility. Practicing the graceful flow of Tai Chi also creates a meditative interlude from the thoughts of every day life. There is very little attention given to martial arts; It’s all in the form.

1:30pm-2:00pm is an introductory practice and 2:00pm-2:45pm will be used to practice the whole form. Participants are welcome to come to one or both.

This is a free community class hosted by Stan Hiserman through the ROOTS program of Healing Circles. No registration required. Donations gratefully accepted.
