🌲The Balance Gym Class with Sue Taves, PT

Our sensory, visual, and vestibular systems work together with your strength and flexibility in a coordinated way to keep your balance and prevent falling. Targeted exercises are a great way to improve these balance systems and get more fit at the same time.

This class is 55 minutes long and happens on Saturday mornings for 4 weeks. Class size is limited, and a FREE balance pre-screening is required. You must pre-register for both a pre-screening AND the class. Contact Sue Taves at SueTavesPT@gmail.com to register.

Instructor: Classes are led by Sue Taves, licensed physical therapist. Sue has worked as a physical therapist for over 35 years and has concentrated her practice on working with people with neurologic diagnoses and balance disorders of all types.

Location: Classes located at the Cascade Room at Soundview Center at 3rd and Park in Langley (432 3rdSt).

Time: Saturdays at 10:00 a.m. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes.

Cost: The Balance Gym Class and the Pre-screen assessment are offered by donation to the Roots Program, community programming offered by Soundview Center and Healing Circles.

Classes start Saturday, April 5 at 10 am.

Is this class right for you?

• You must be able to stand and walk independently for up to one block, using a cane or walker is fine.

• You must be able to tolerate light to moderate physical activity for 55 minutes.

• You must pass the pre-screening assessment to join this class. If you don’t pass Sue will suggest some other alternatives to work on your balance.
