A 6 week series of Qigong & Tai Chi with Kate Dussault
"If one can be balanced and harmonious within oneself, one is clear and aware, awake in quietude, accurate in action. Thus, one can respond to the endless changes in the world.” Dr. Roger Jahnke, OMD
Holding our intention of compassionate self-care by engaging in the simple practices of easy movement, breathing, self-massage, and mindful meditation is a transformative experience. With each mindful practice—encompassing body, heart, and mind—we learn to relax deeply, become more resilient, and shift our lives into better overall health. When we practice in community, we learn from one another and feel held.
We welcome participants in all levels of health to join us for these gentle body, heart, mind practices. At the start of each session, we'll be reminded by self-care agreements to hold ourselves with ease and compassion. At the end of each session, we'll have moments to share with one another, held by healing circles agreements. Our practice offerings are based on the philosophies and methods of Dr. Roger Jahnke and his book The Healer Within. Our volunteer host has been certified to teach these practices through the Healer Within Foundation and the Institute of Integral Qigong and Tai Chi (IIQTC). The practices are based in these traditions and may also incorporate other Qigong traditions, gentle yoga, functional movement and stress informed practices.
This is a free community class offered by Kate and Healing Circles Langley. All are welcome regardless of ability to pay, donations gratefully accepted.
