Unwinding Your Belly-Study & Practice Group

Stress and tension patterns lodged in our bellies can interfere with our health and well-being, especially gut health. Gentle movement, breath explorations, abdominal self-massage and acupressure can be hugely supportive in reclaiming balance in our bellies and bodies.

Following a brief presentation on structure and function, we discover and practice easily accessible methods for nurturing ourselves and our internal organs.

Open to anyone willing to approach their own body with curiosity and a listening touch, these practices can also be adjusted for most individuals with most health conditions. Please check with me if you are uncertain whether this class is appropriate for you.

Every other Tuesday, 10:30 -12:00 noon  4 Fall sessions: October 3, 17, 31, Nov 14

6 hours of CE available to WA LMTs, (not yet NCTMB approved) Cost: Sliding scale $80 - 105 To register, please contact Christa at ntouch@whidbey.com

We practice in seated or standing position and lying on a cushioned surface on the floor for self-massage (about 30 min). Yoga mats and a blanket are provided. You may bring a camping pad or blanket for further cushioning. It is best to wear loose or stretchy clothes without zippers or buttons over the abdominal area.

Christa Straub, LMT, focuses her practice on Belly Centered Bodywork. She began her journey into Abdominal Massage in 2005.  The self care tools she shares in her classes have been effective for her and many of her clients
