Lungs focus on prana/life force
The lungs are what bring in air from the outside world, filter toxins, purify nourishment and send it to be carried through other systems for life force support. In this class we will practice pranayama, or breath control, which allows us to change our physiology simply by breathing faster or slower, targeting breathing towards an area or intention, or safely restricting breath to create various effects. Class will include pranayama techniques for detoxification and calming, yoga poses utilizing breath for steadiness as well as compressing poses to create lung stamina. Chanting will also be utilized to stimulate the lungs and bring about feelings of groundedness and connection
Lung health essential oil blend will be included before and after class.
